Elvina has been awarded writing residencies at MacDowell, PLAYA Summer Lake, Storyknife, Looking Glass Arts, and Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts. She was awarded the Rona Jaffe Foundation Fellowship at MacDowell and named the Rona Jaffe Fellow for 2022.
Elvina won First Prize for the Parent-Writer Fellowship at the Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing, 2024
Elvina is a certified Wild Writing teacher and teaches Brave Writing, a generative free write practice.
Elvina graduated from Smith College as an Ada Comstock Scholar.
